  Abstract

This paper presents the implementation of a satellite IoT transceiver applying an enhanced Chirp Spread Spectrum (CSS) transmission technique to enable global Internet of Things (IoT) services, along with the corresponding verification test results. The developed satellite IoT transceiver is implemented on an Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) based evaluation board. Key performance requirements such as maximum data rate, Doppler frequency compensation range, and minimum operating signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) are derived. The compliance with these requirements is analyzed through signal spectrum measurements and dump data reception rate evaluations.
