  Abstract

According to development of electronic devices and mobile communication technique, the evolved technologies opened the era of Internet of Thing that all devices connect to internet. IoT devices have limited power and wireless communication performance, and it"s difficult that connect all devices using conventional communication methods. In this paper, we proposed an ID abbreviation method for low-power devices. the abbreviation method generates abbreviated ID using communication between neighbor devices. However, the method has problem caused by devices movement. To solve the problem, we proposed an ID conflict management method additionally. We improved communication efficiently using a smaller ID which resized from IPv6. In addition, we confirmed packet delivery ratio was improved according to avoidance ID conflict of IoT devices in a dynamic IoT environment. For performance evaluations, we performed simulations. As the results, we confirmed the proposed methods reduced 96.5% header overhead, improved 43.8% packet delivery ratio and reduced 66.3% duplicated data caused by ID conflicts.
