  Abstract

In this paper, we propose an intelligent hybrid indoor localization system that leverages the information between iBeacon signals and pedestrian dead reckoning (PDR) for smartphones, especially for iPhones. The iPhone exploits an improved PDR to localize itself, while incorporating iBeacon information for initial location correction. Experiment results inside a typical university building show that our proposed scheme is more accurate and robust compared to the conventional schemes.
