  Abstract

In this paper, we investigate and analyze the researches to reduce the total power consumption in wireless network by controlling the sleep status of base stations. First, we investigate the studies on reducing power consumption through user control connected to each base station, then we analyze the researches to improve energy efficiency by switching the base station into deactivate status. Finally, we suggest the direction of future research from the analyzed studies.
