  Abstract

We consider a relaying system with a transmission scheme based on constellation rotation and a decoding scheme based on message passing algorithm in the uplink of a cellular system. We derive an optimal rotation angle of the signal constellation in such a relaying system. Simulation results show that the proposed optimization of the rotation angle can reduce the bit error rate of the relaying system as compared with the conventional scheme without optimization.
