  Abstract

In this paper, we newly propose an uplink radio resource allocation strategy for implementing a prioritized two-step random access (RA) procedure in cellular networks. We mathematically analyze the proposed approach in terms of the RA collision probability. Through simulations, we evaluate the performance of our proposed approach and verify its superiority comparing with the conventional one.
