  Abstract

We propose a low complexity MMSE iterative equalizer for MIMO systems. In the proposed scheme, the transmitted symbols are classified into symbol groups, and the soft IC and MMSE detection are performed for each symbol group. Therefore, compared to the conventional scheme with symbol based processing, the proposed scheme has a less number of soft IC and MMSE detection operations, which contributes to the complexity reduction. Simulation results verify that the error performance of the proposed scheme can be close to that of the conventional scheme with a higher complexity.
