G-matrix based ESBP, compared to previously proposed ESBP, achieves the lowest average number of iterations and excellent frame error rate performance. On the other hand, G-matrix based ESBP requires relatively high complexity for early stopping test. In this paper, we propose an ESBP that adds an additional step to determine whether to perform the G-matrix based ESBP test or not. The proposed scheme achieves the same frame error rate performance compared to G-matrix based ESBP with lower decoding and stopping criterion test complexities.
